"Avoid Vivint at All Costs!"
I’ve had a terrible experience with Vivint. They’ve completely ignored all my clients that I brought in through their awful third-party installers who have no credibility. Not only did they fail to finish the installations after taking my clients' cash, but they also haven’t compensated my team or me for any work done. I’ve tried contacting everyone I know at their company, but it’s like talking to a wall. Seriously, steer clear of them; they’re a scam and will leave you high and dry!

"Absolutely the worst company!"
Dealing with Vivint Solar has been a total nightmare. My mom signed up with them and then moved to another state. Now, I'm stuck in the house, footing the bill for the solar services. After she moved, we reached out to Vivint to switch all the billing and contact info to my name and to add me as an authorized user. But every single time I call, I have to get my mom on the line to give her okay again and again. It's just absurd and so unprofessional. Seriously, how many times does she have to tell the agent to put me down as an authorized person? It’s like they just don’t get it!

"Utilities and Solar Payments at Once"
Joined in May, and here we are in mid-October still waiting for the inspection to get connected. Our representative left, so we’re left without anyone to push for us while our local solar installer keeps dragging their feet and flaking out on us repeatedly. Now, we’re stuck paying for both utilities and solar simultaneously. We really wish we hadn’t signed up. Seriously, don’t go for it.

"AVOID VIVINT AT ALL COSTS!"
Vivint is easily the most terrible company I've ever had the bad luck to work with. They put up panels on my roof super fast and took their payment right away. Six months down the line, I still have absolutely NO electricity being produced and no clue when my system might actually be up and running. It's nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone who knows what they're talking about. They’re more of a scam than a legitimate business.

UPDATE: Vivint claims they’re sorry! That’s their big fix for our problems. It’s wild how that hasn’t made a difference at all. There’s no one in charge. Seriously, steer clear of Vivint!

"Vivint feels like dealing with the mob!!"
Vivint feels like dealing with the mob!! It seems all nice and friendly at the start, but then you find yourself trapped. They’ll take you for a ride. Seriously, don’t sign that contract! Just get your electricity from the local power company. It might cost a tad more, but it'll save you a whole lot of hassle.

"AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!"
The customer support here is the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. They seem to have zero interest in completing our solar setup. We’ve got over 30 panels up on our roof and two wall batteries that were put in six months back, and they’re just sitting there doing nothing.

"Count me among the unlucky ones..."
Count me among the unlucky ones who fell for the slick talk of this salesman. "Your energy bills are high, so you qualify for free solar! We’ll install enough panels to get your bill down to nearly zero." Well, guess what? My bill has actually gone up. Now I'm shelling out more to Vivint than I ever did to SoCalEdison, and I don’t even have their panels! After being out of work for a year due to COVID-19, getting scammed by Vivint is just the cherry on top. There’s definitely a special place in Hell reserved for these folks. Seriously, steer clear, everyone.

"No Savings to Speak Of"
We haven't saved a dime. My bill remains unchanged since the panels went up. When I check the usage on the app, it shows we're actually using more power on days when we're not even in the state and the house is empty. I reached out to them several times to clarify this, but they keep ignoring me, claiming the account is under my husband's name. Yet, my name is on the deed! How can they refuse to communicate with me when I'm listed on the deed and was there during the installation? I had to make numerous calls just to sort out the automatic payment issue. The customer service is just awful. Honestly, I feel like I got taken for a ride. The bills are not lower than what I paid before with regular electric, and now we're stuck with these folks.

"Our Experience with Vivint Solar Over the Years"
We've been using Vivint Solar for several years and are quite pleased with all aspects, from the initial consultation to the installation and ongoing maintenance of the system. About six weeks back, we were informed of a possible issue, and a technician came to our place to ensure everything was functioning properly. We had recently upgraded our router and didn’t know we needed to inform Vivint about it. It's awesome that they caught the problem on their side and reached out to us right away.

"Savings with Vinit"
The system is doing well and cutting down on power expenses. I didn’t swap out the whole power consumption setup, but instead, I got a system that manages the load during the day, which helps lower those steep electric bills.

I’ve only run into a couple of hiccups with the solar system communicating with the monitoring center, which was first set up through my wifi. But as new tech options popped up, they installed a fresh module in the control panel that connects via cellular to the monitoring center. This way, future issues are kept at bay and it also takes away a potential entry point to my network - much appreciated! I’m a retired IT Security Specialist... :)

"My Experience as a Vivint Solar Client"
For a number of years, I’ve been using Vivint Solar. The setup process went off without a hitch, and the support I’ve received since has been fantastic. I’m saving a ton on my energy bills. Choosing Vivint for my solar panel installation was definitely the right call.

"Only good things to say about..."
I’ve got nothing but good things to share about my time with Vivint, both during the setup and afterward. I've been using the system for more than three years and honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. I keep telling others to check it out. To me, it’s a total no-brainer, and I just can’t figure out why more folks aren’t jumping on the solar panel bandwagon.

Not much more than okay, honestly. Your referral and sales setup could use some serious improvement. The billing statement ought to show the KW generated, the rate per cent, and the overall total.

"Poor Service and Maintenance Issues"
For the past three weeks, we've been trying to sort out our problem with Vivint Solar. Our roof has several leaks, and we need to take down the system to replace it. All we've experienced is endless hours on hold and promises of callbacks that never come. It's been a frustrating runaround, and they won't let us talk to a supervisor. They keep pointing fingers at covid-19, but come on, they’re essential workers and the only solar company that laid off their staff. We've even had third-party companies ready to take down the panels, but Vivint refuses to pay for that. In the end, they’re losing money by not removing and reinstalling the panels while our home suffers damage. This is just not right and feels like a breach of contract! If you check out other reviews, you'll see this has been a problem with Vivint Solar long before the pandemic.

"Avoid Vivint Solar - Customer Support is Lacking"
One of the key factors for us was the support we’d get after making a purchase. Vivint claims you need a broadband connection since they’re always monitoring the system, and they’ll reach out to you if something goes wrong. Well, our system was out for a whole week before I figured it out on my own. Now they’re saying it’s up to us to keep an eye on it! Plus, the technician who came over mentioned there are only TWO SERVICE TECHS for all of Utah! What’s gonna happen next time a storm rolls through with hail, wind, or lightning? They also insist that everyone who visits your home is a Vivint Employee and that they don’t use subcontractors. So, if a storm hits, it could take ages (or even years!) for them to fix my system. They really led us astray during the whole process. Actually, I should clarify ‘we’ because I used to be a Vivint Solar Salesman! I was trained to share info with customers that I knew wasn’t true.
